A cheaper plan starts at your renewal. You can undo it until then.
A change to a cheaper package, or from yearly to monthly, doesn't happen straight away. It's scheduled for your next renewal, and your current plan carries on until then. Nothing is charged today.
While a change is scheduled, you'll see Change scheduled for and the date on your dashboard and on the Subscription page.
