Family packages start with a trial. A card is needed to start it.
Family packages start with a trial: 3 days on monthly plans and 7 days on yearly plans. You add a card on Stripe's checkout page to start it, and the first payment is taken when the trial ends. Stripe's page shows the date of that first payment before you confirm.
The trial covers every seat on your package. If you change your plan during the trial, the change applies at once and your first payment is for the new plan.
Only your first checkout comes with a trial. The one-subject package and teacher packages have no trial and are billed at checkout.
