Answer a sign-in request with Allow once, Trust this device, or Deny.
When your child taps Ask a parent, the bell on your dashboard shows a sign-in request, and you may get a notification. Requests expire after 2 minutes.
Tap the bell, or open the notification.
Choose Allow once to let them in this time only, Trust this device to keep that device signed in, or Deny.
On a break
If your child is on a break, allowing the request ends the break.
